Yes! Thank you for this post!! You bring in many ideas, I hadn't thought about. For example, trying to have balance in a day, that never-ending quest. November is NaNoWrMo - National Novel (or essay or memoir or poetry collection)Writing Month and instead of a word count, I've given myself an hour with my obsession everyday. It really does set the stage for energy and focus for the rest of the day and I can relax into the hour because I know I have another hour coming up tomorrow.

As for the 5 Year Plan, I hear what you're saying - make a decision and put a stake, or several stakes, in the ground knowing that you might change your mind, which is okay because it's just more information about what you want/don't want. If you don't put a stake in the ground, there's nothing to respond to and the path continues to be blurry. Yes, I think the trick is how many things can I keep moving forward on letting go of the idea of balance and following my intuition for pursuing things. Does that make sense?
